Merry Christmas to ALL! The last Ridgeway beer in the cellar. An interesting thing I found on the label that I didn’t mention in the episode is the explanation of “butt”

In case you find that amusing, we hasten to point out that in England ‘butt’ refers to a certain barrel used in brewing — a very large barrel, in fact, holding 108 imperial gallons. Back in the day it was quite a normal thing for a brewery to put its beer up in a large butt for storage.

Check out http://www.bjcp.org for wicked awesome beer nerd stuff.

Whoops! Looks like my grasp of Wordpress isn’t quite there yet. We round out the Ridgeway Elf Series…or the ones that I could find. Also, a correction. It’s the ABC that does label approval, not the TTB. I think the TTB is the national body that regulates beer and other alcoholic beverages.

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone. Hope Santa drops some goodies on you tonight!

New business starting here. We’re gonna talk about politics (boo, hissssss). The good politics; the politics of beer. I’ll keep you updated with the ins-and-outs of the legislative session in Alabama. Help me root for your favorite team!

Merry Christmas Eve to all!

Okay, I think we’re getting closer with the camera business. Now lighting is going to be next…and maybe even a set change.

More elves and Christmas merriment to come!

This is the first episode of Banned In Bama, a show where we tease you by tasting the beers that are illegal in Alabama then point you to something similar that you can find there.

Please bear with me while I sort out the best lighting and camera angles  in the secret filming studio. Here’s a pic of the beer because I realize the camera was too far back for you to see it. Creepy elf innit?
